THE POSITION
Washington County Community Corrections is now seeking a talented team player to join us as a Bilingual Administrative Specialist II. This role provides diverse administrative support duties requiring the ability to be detail oriented and a high level of integrity. The primary duties of this position include data entry, reception, and customer service for Probation and Parole. This is a designated bilingual position that requires the candidate be able to communicate clearly and concisely in Spanish and English, both orally and in writing. An additional $75/per pay period for bilingual skills will be paid to qualified employees. Pay periods are every two weeks.

About the DepartmentWashington County Community Corrections serves an important role in keeping our community safe. This department works to prevent the recurrence of crime among adult Justice Involved Individuals (JIIs) by holding them accountable to the conditions of their supervision while supporting their efforts to live successfully in the community. Community Corrections supervises approximately 2,800 individuals using a range of evidence-based strategies while working in partnership with the Courts, law enforcement, and the Oregon State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • Possession of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or other applicable certifications may substitute for up to one (1) year of the experience requirement.ADDITIONAL LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, PHYSICAL ABILITIES, AND SPECIALTY REQUIREMENTS
    • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation.
    • Knowledge of the Spanish language including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in Spanish, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to become LEDs (Law Enforcement Data Systems) certified.
    • Ability to become notary certified.
