- Position Summary: The function of the Radiologic Technologist
position within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to perform
all phases of technical diagnostic imaging. Radiologic
Technologists operate X-Ray equipment used to capture and develop
images for the purpose of medical diagnosis. The Radiologic
technologist promotes OHSU's mission statement by delivering high
quality, cost effective, family-oriented service. This position
helps to create a collaborative environment by integrating
education, research and clinical leadership. Radiologic
Technologists work with infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric
patients.
- Key Responsibilities include providing quality images with
accuracy and efficiency using optimal skills and knowledge of all
equipment, training in all general radiology exams/areas, utilizing
the VIP transportation system, positioning patients for exams,
operating equipment, setting exposure factors, using computer image
processing, tracking exams in the Radiology Information system,
developing and presenting images and patient information to
radiologist for diagnosis, and assisting with patient transport.
- Job Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography
program
- Qualifications to take and pass the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) board examinations in Radiography
upon hire
- OBMI licensed and ARRT eligible upon hire
- ARRT registered within 6 months of hire date
- Must have current approved BLS card
- Preferred qualifications include OHSU-partnered Radiologic
Technology program experience, Level 1 Trauma Center experience,
and Academic Medical Center experience
- Schedule Information
- Work schedule is Tuesday to Friday, 21:00 to 07:30
- Additional Details
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required and must be
presented on the first day to obtain OHSU ID badge
- IMPORTANT: This facility requires all candidates to be fully
available for any compliance needs up until their start date. Any
planned time where they may be unavailable due to vacation/out of
country, etc., should be relayed to the appropriate staff and
noted
