  • The RN for Women's and Children's Center ensures the delivery of quality nursing care to patients throughout the Women's & Children's Center, including those who require cardiac monitoring, in accordance with age related and individual needs, physician's orders, hospital policy, standards of care and nursing practice.
  • Responsible for the assessment of patient needs, planning nursing care based on those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is implemented, documented and evaluated according to the nursing process.
  • Demonstrates skill sets and competencies that are needed to accept a regular patient care assignment in a minimum of two areas within the Women's & Children's Center, including neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, labor and delivery, or post-partum.
  • As needed by the hospital the expectations of additional areas of assignment will be considered.
  • Supervises care given by supportive staff including techs and CNA's.
    • Job Requirements
    • For NICU openings in the Women's and Children's Center to ensure appropriate skill mix, 5 (five) or more years preferred of NICU experience.
    • Level 2 NICU skills and Peds Med-Surg experience preferred
    • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Oregon.
    • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
    • NRP
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred upon hire
    • PALS preferred
    • 5+ years of experience
    • Current peripheral IV start skills.
    • Bilingual skills highly preferred
      • Additional Details
      • Required by facility.
      • AHA Provider required (Instructor certs are NOT acceptable). ARC and RQI are not acceptable.
      • Hillsboro will accept AHA HEARTCODE Certifications.
      • Certificates of Completion ARE acceptable for AHA certs pending e-cards. Must be signed by instructor.
